Alps + Meters: Human Nature

At its highest level, this is a story about humanity’s inherent connection to nature. More intimately, it is a story about the connection between two generations and a garment that ties them together.

We set out to dominate, only to realize that we cannot.

We stand on top and draw it in. Cold, burning breathe, overtaken by the wind. Fueling our wanderlust, our reverence. She could swallow us whole, but would that be so bad? We would be but a tiny seed, returning home.

It is in this moment that we realize we share a heartbeat. 

We are propelled to keep moving forward, to keep turning the unturned. We stand in awe as we transcend. We realize we are a part of everything, but also a part of nothing at all.

While one generation forges forward into the great expanse, the next looks back with longing for connection. But it was always there.
